Welcome! I'm Karen, a midwest photographer specializing in luxury wedding photography in Chicago, Central Illinois, SW Florida, and around the country. When I'm not running my full time wedding business you can find me running around with my five daughters or at home planning my next Disney trip! I love adventure and traveling, especially when there are joyful, adventurous couples to be photographed.
This unique engagement session experience is completely FREE. Not only does this give me a chance to work with new couples, shoot in new locations and add some beautiful photos to my portfolio, it also gives you the unique opportunity to work with a wedding photographer before making the big decision of who will photograph your big day. Yes, I would love it if every one of you would book me for your wedding day, but ultimately if we are not a great fit, that's okay! I will even throw in a free print from the shoot. You will have the opportunity to purchase more photos if you would like, but there is no obligation.

the process
I am an adventurous, moment-driven photographer. I focus on documenting YOU in your natural, playful affection while coaching you gently into lightly posed and candid moments. I want to see who you are, what you enjoy together, the little quirks that make your love strong. The very first step to planning your engagement experience is to schedule a phone call to get to know you. This is a 15 minute meet & greet to learn more about what your visions are for your photographs.
After we chat on the phone I will follow up with you in an email and send over what's included in the engagement session as well as my available dates for the shoot. You will also receive a complimentary style guide that will walk you through choosing your outfits!
During the session I help you feel as laid back and comfortable as possible. Think of it as the two of you hanging out together, laughing, playing, and loving on each other. And I'm there in the background, gently coaching you and documenting it all.
After the session we will set up an online video chat meeting to go over your images, pick out your free goodies, as well as answer any of your questions you have about my wedding packages. You will be offered the opportunity to purchase any additional products or digitals from your session if you'd like. When you choose me for your wedding, the entire engagement session gallery is gifted to you!
